Tentative Schedule

FOUR SESSIONS OF INTRO TO MAKING ON MONDAY NIGHTS, TUESDAY & THURSDAYS

The SPRING 2023 semester runs January 13 to May 16. Makerspace is in a new location near the Student Store and the water tower on the Sacramento City College campus.

Two Sections of MAKR 140

• Full Semester: Thu, 10:00 am to 11:50 am
• Full Semester: Tue, 1:00 pm to 2:50 pm
• First Eight Weeks: August 19 to October 11, Mon, 6:00 pm to 8:15 pm
• Second Eight Weeks: October 12 to December 8, Mon, 6:00 pm to 8:15 pm

We have been having SO much fun making all the things at the Sac City Makerspace! Our first cohort in our new building are finishing up the semester this week and their final projects are amazing. To give you an idea of what you can make here are some of the final projects:

• Doll house laser cut wood, laser etched signage, student-soldered light, sublimation printed run, 3d printed furniture.
• Fancy Clock with laser etched metal face, CNC cut wood panel, and hand painted engraved etchings.
• Sublimation printed, custom made clothing.
• Embroidered bean bags for student-made corn hole (all made in the Makerspace).
• Custom designed sticker display with storage, designed in 3d and cut on the laser and CNC machine.
• Acrylic stir sticks cut on the laser.
• Custom stickers, bags, shirts, patches, artwork on canvas and metal and so many more things I can go on and on…
