Discover the art and science of digital fabrication in this hands-on Sublimation Collage Workshop, led by artist and Makerspace professor Heather Hogan. Perfect for creative gatherings, community centers, and special events, this interactive session introduces participants to the process of transferring visual designs permanently into fabric fibers using heat and pressure.
What to Expect
- Learn & Design: Participants explore composition and color layouts while learning the fundamentals of sublimation printing. Attendees can practice on test scraps before composing their final artwork.
- The Big Press: Using a professional heat press, makers transfer their custom collage layouts onto durable goods—creating personalized, functional art like canvas tote bags, coasters, or mousepads to keep.
- Connect & Create: Designed to be welcoming for all skill levels, the session balances creative experimentation with a relaxed, social atmosphere.
